Our client, a joint stock company, manufacturing a range of downstream petrochemical products and located at JUBAIL Industrial City in the Eastern providence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller.


Responsibilities


• Advise top management of financial matters through the reporting, analysis and interpretation of the financial condition of the company;
• Enforce budget policies, oversees budgets preparation and proactively monitors and controls variances;
• Establish systems to control operating expenses. Personally monitors operating expenditures;
• Supervise preparation of monthly financial reports. Compares budget and actual figures; highlights major unfavorable variances; calls attention to management of variances;
• Oversee the company’s cash collection activities; establishes appropriate credit policies;
• Direct the development, updating and administration of cost accounting systems;
• Direct the preparation of standard accounting procedures; oversees the smooth and accurate conduct of the company’s general accounting function; ensures strict adherence to the chart of accounts;
• Direct the development of annual expenses and capital expenditure budgets and submits them to management; prepares financial forecasts, cash projections and economic evaluations as required for near-term and long-range planning purposes;
• Direct physical stock taking for all stores, finished goods stock, and work-in-progress;
• Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures and internal control systems to safeguard the company’s assets and to ensure that it has relevant and reliable information on its liabilities; and
• Coordinate and facilitates the work of the internal and external auditors.


Requirements:


• Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting; and
• Professional accounting qualification (CN / CPA /CMA / CFA) and more than five years experience in a manufacturing company as a Finance Manager.
• Strong communication skills in Arabic and English languages.
